About Me
Hi, I'm Nico Teop.
I'm a novelist, poet, lifelong reader, and someone who has spent an unreasonable amount of time thinking about fictional people as if they have personally inconvenienced me.
Books have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I started writing with poetry and the occasional fan fiction, usually in fragments: a feeling, a conversation, a scene I couldn't stop replaying in my head. Eventually, those fragments got longer, developed personalities, and started demanding entire books. Rude, really.
I'm naturally curious, chronically prone to asking why, and incapable of leaving well enough alone when something catches my interest (ask me about my current hyperfixation). I'll happily disappear down a research rabbit hole for one tiny detail that may ultimately occupy three sentences or spend hours trying to find the perfect mood music for a scene. Whether anyone notices is beside the point. I'll know.
When I'm not writing, working, or talking about someone else's book, I'm usually collecting another idea I absolutely do not have time to write, obsessing over some tiny piece of research for a manuscript, or convincing myself that this time I'm only going to tweak one chapter.
Now that you know a little more about me, take a chance and pick up one of my books.
(Let’s hyperfixate together.)
