SYNOPSIS:

"Growing up outside of modern Asuncion, Hela never thought much of the old stories. When her best friend disappears, apparently kidnapped by the legendary Jasy Jatere, however, she learns that the old world is not as dead as she had thought".

REVIEW:

This webtoon will make you physically angry. There are so many moments of neglect, abuse, and heartbreak that you must take breaks between reading because it pulls you in. It is vibrantly beautiful, and the characters are both flawed, raw, and human. The story is based loosely on Guaraní mythology and weaves the stories of their gods in and out of the storytelling without feeling artificial or mimicking in any way. There are a lot of twists and turns that continue to poke and provoke inner reflection as you move throughout the journey of the main character.

INTERESTING FACT:

Season One of the series was completed on May 18th of this year, with Season Two swinging in on September 1, 2022. The series currently has 23.8 million readers.
